Four Days in Portugal: What to Expect at The Exhale Retreat

An intimate women's retreat filled with meaningful experiences, beautiful surroundings, and time to enjoy yourself.

When you hear the words women's wellness retreat, what comes to mind?

Maybe it's a packed schedule of meditation sessions, early morning yoga, and workshops. Or perhaps it's something luxurious that looks beautiful in photographs but feels a little intimidating in real life.

When I began planning The Exhale Retreat, I wanted to create something that felt different.

Something personal, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable.

A place where women could experience a little bit of everything: meaningful reflection, gentle movement, beautiful food, new friendships, and afternoons with absolutely nothing on the agenda.

So, what will spending four days with us in Portugal actually look like?

A Home Away From Home in the Portuguese Countryside

Our retreat takes place in Felgueiras, a beautiful region of northern Portugal known for its green landscapes, vineyards, and peaceful countryside.

Rather than staying at a large resort, we'll be sharing a private villa.

I chose this setting intentionally.

I wanted somewhere that felt comfortable enough to curl up with a book, enjoy a slow morning over coffee, or sit outside chatting with someone you've just met.

With a small group of women, there will be opportunities to connect without feeling lost in a crowd.

And whether you're coming with a friend or traveling on your own, you'll have the freedom to participate at your own pace.

A Little Movement, Reflection, and Connection

Throughout our time together, we'll incorporate gentle yoga, nervous system regulation practices, and guided reflection.

These experiences are designed to be accessible, whether you've practiced yoga for years or have never stepped onto a mat.

There won't be pressure to share personal experiences or participate in every conversation.

Some women may enjoy exploring the reflective side of the retreat. Others may find that their favorite moments happen during a quiet morning or an unexpected conversation over dinner.

Both are equally welcome.

A Taste of Portugal

One of the experiences I'm especially excited about is our visit to Quinta da Aveleda.

Located in the beautiful Vinho Verde region, this winery offers a wonderful opportunity to experience a little of Portugal's culture, history, and hospitality.

We'll enjoy a winery experience and lunch together, with time to appreciate the surroundings and each other's company.

Food will also be an important part of our retreat experience.

With my Brazilian roots and a deep appreciation for gathering around the table, I wanted meals to feel like more than something squeezed between activities.

I want them to be moments we look forward to.

Good food, conversation, laughter, and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal without rushing to the next responsibility.

Yes, There Will Be Free Time

One of my biggest priorities when designing this retreat was making sure our schedule didn't become another list of things to accomplish.

We'll have planned experiences, but we'll also have time to ourselves.

You might spend an afternoon reading, enjoying the villa, journaling, or getting to know another guest.

And if you decide you'd rather sit quietly and do absolutely nothing?

That's perfectly fine, too.

Coming Alone? You're Welcome Here.

Traveling to another country for a retreat can feel like a big decision, particularly when you don't know anyone attending.

That's one reason I've intentionally kept our group small.

We'll have shared and private accommodation options, and you're welcome to attend alone or with a friend.

You don't need to be outgoing, experienced with retreats, or comfortable sharing your life story with strangers.

Just come as you are.

An Invitation to Experience Something Different

The Exhale Retreat will take place May 14–17, 2027, in Felgueiras, Portugal.

Over four days and three nights, we'll enjoy a thoughtful balance of wellness experiences, cultural exploration, connection, and personal time.

I've spent months bringing together the different pieces of this experience, and I'm incredibly excited to finally begin welcoming our guests.

Our first reservation has officially been made, and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of our small group come together.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, I'd love for you to explore the details.

Shared and private accommodations are available, along with flexible payment options.

Have Questions? I'd Love to Hear From You!

If you're curious about The Exhale Retreat, have questions about accommodations or payment plans, or simply want to learn more before reserving your spot, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to help!
